The Curtain Consultancy provides Trade Services for interior designers, architects, decorators, property managers and developers who need help with curtains, blinds and other window treatments. You can use us for one stage of a project, or ask us to manage the work from design and measuring through to ordering, making and fitting.

We can work with your own fabrics and suppliers. We can also source materials, hardware and made-to-measure window treatments for you. The aim is to give you the right level of support without adding extra steps.

Window Treatment Design

Good window treatments start with a clear plan. We can help with layouts, proportions, headings, linings, tracks, poles and blind systems.

Our Trade Services can support a project at the early design stage or once the scheme is already developed. If you have chosen the fabric and style, we can focus on the practical details that make the design work in the room.

We work across different budgets and styles. This includes value-focused brands such as Blinds-2-Go, established names such as Jane Clayton & Co and designer fabric houses.

Fabric Sourcing and Hardware

If you already have a fabric, we can work with it. If you need help finding one, we can help you explore suitable fabric suppliers and options for the room, brief and budget.

We can also advise on tracks, poles and other hardware. We look at curtain weight, window shape, fixing points and how the treatment needs to open.

Getting these details right early can help avoid changes later. It can also make the final fit more straightforward.

Critical Measuring

Accurate measuring is vital for made-to-measure work. A small error can cause problems once curtains, blinds or hardware have been ordered.

Our Trade Services include specification and critical measuring for standard windows, bays, wide spans and more complex openings. We check the measurements against the design and chosen hardware before the order is placed.

We can provide quotations based on the agreed scope and specification. If needed, we can also manage ordering and delivery.

The final fit has a big impact on how curtains and blinds look and work. We provide fitting for curtains, blinds, tracks, poles and related hardware.

We can install products supplied through The Curtain Consultancy or work with items chosen by your own team. The fitting is planned around the room, the design and the site conditions.

Christopher brings more than 17 years of experience in bespoke window treatments. His background in architectural interior design also brings a useful mix of design knowledge and hands-on fitting skill.
